That's EXACTLY what it was, strange. When she first embark on this journey, the last thing she expected was to be THRUSTED further into the world of the supernatural. Being a witch herself had been something Joy had recently come to terms with after events that had her CONFRONTING her reality. Sure, she had always known, there always been this VOICE in the back of her head whispering that she should embrace who she was, her gift, her destiny. It took meeting her family to finally come to TERMS with who she is, and the potential of who she could become. So she wasn't too put off when she learned about this town and its SECRETS, what surprised her the most is the heavy BURDEN Wynonna was carrying around. "No need to apologize." Joy replied, a shrug quickly following afterwards. "Believe me when I say I'm giving you a compliment." Abigail, even though she was the most chaotic of the Merriwick woman, she was also the owner of a big heart and Joy the slight feeling the woman at her side had the same QUALITY. "You two would certainly get along..."

Since Huang’s departure, the unit had been missing a key part. Their previous psychiatrist had been a calming sensation in the rocky seas that was SVU. The FBI sending him to Oklahoma had been a blow to their division and ever since then they have been searching for someone who could provide the same, level headed advice and outlook to their cases and even personal lives. The truth was that having Huang around had given them a perspective. Still, Olivia hadn’t really given up, requesting another person for their squad.

It is how they found themselves meeting each other, Olivia and Kit.

The captain stood up from her place on the desk. She was about done with paperwork but she could use a break at the moment. “Oh no, don’t worry about it.” Lips quirked into a warm smile. “I’m just glad you are here.” Stepping around her desk, the captain extended her hand towards the other female. “It is a pleasure to meet you.”

Mac released a shaky breath, followed by a roll of her shoulders. She knows his word is true, and he will do everything in his power to keep his promise to her but they cannot control what life has in store for them. Still, she chooses to believe in him, in them. They haven’t walked through hell just to break apart at the first sight of danger. It isn’t in their personalities traits, that’s for sure. Things like this are going to keep happening to them, and whether they are together or not, it will hurt deeply to even think about losing one another. The care they had for each other, built upon years of being they for one another says a lot about them. It was beautiful in a way that words could never come to describe. So she doesn’t, Sarah just feels everything and then some.

And just like that, she is back at being distracted by his candy like words. “You’re so full of yourself, Harmon.” She chuckled, wrapping an arm around his middle feeling more peaceful than she had in the last few days. Mac hasn’t been able to rest properly and it was starting to show on her face and the soft yawn that escaped her lips. Maybe now she can actually have a full night of rest with Harm at her side. But first, “A hot bath, some wine and candles and just relax.” She said to him as they stepped into the elevator. She pressed the button to the lobby, and the turned her gaze up at him. Gosh that bruise was really ugly and she cannot wait for it start healing properly. “Unless you have something else in mind.” There’s a raised brow, on her face accompanied with a smirk.

The door closed with a ding, and they were alone for a few moments before going downstairs so she gives him a proper kiss on the lips and when she pulled back with eyes closed, and breath out her worries. “That was a very close call…” She finally muttered, the frustrations of days of zero news present in her voice.
